I is a globular OAV microemulsion in equilibrium with an excess of oil, Winsor 

II is a globular W/O microemulsion in equilibrium with an excess of water, and Winsor III is a microemulsion with a bicontinuous microstructure that is in equilibrium with both the oily and aqueous phases.
