Facilitating the Kaizen Blitz

After the short Icebreaker to calm the attendees, the facilitator can provide an overview of the agenda for the multiday event. The agenda provides the attendees with a road map of their plarmed activities, which will also help to put them at ease. For a three-day kaizen event, the agenda would look something like this. 

Team member roles assigned and required materials distributed Go to the work area, observe the current state process and identify opportunities Lunch at 11 30-12 15 

Review opportunities and gather additional improvement ideas Divide team into subteams and split the opportunity list between them Subteams begin to implement agreed upon changes 

7 00 start time—subteam leader report out Subteams continue to implement changes Lunch at 11 30-12 15 

Continue to implement changes and prepare to observe process second
