Fig. 3. Small cluster models used in zeolite modeling. 1-T (a), 3-T (b,c), 5-Td (d), 6-Tr (e), and 12-TD6R (f) cluster models. All clusters are OH terminated except 3-T cluster (c) that is H terminated. Oxygen atoms are depicted white, Si/Al and cluster terminating H atoms are grey. Fig. 3. The redox behavior of the F and H centers in hydrogenases I and II is nicely consistent with their respective modes of function. As shown in Figure 7.22, the F clusters are presumed to transfer electrons intermolecularly with the exter-... [Pg.407]

Figure 11 (Left) The H-cluster of [FeFe] hydrogenases. Atoms are colored maroon (Fe), orange (S), black (C), red (O), blue (N), and pink (unidentified). (Right) CpI [FeFe] hydrogenase. The accessory F-cluster domains are two ferrodoxin-like [4Fe-4S] cubanes (green), a ferredoxin-like [2Fe-2S] cluster (light purple), and a histidine coordinated [4Fe-4S] cluster (dark purple). The catalytic domain containing the H-cluster is colored blue and the C-terminus of the protein (shown in red) forms a cap overthe active site cavity. A similar hexanuclear cluster without the interstitial 0x0 group has long been established (Toledano et al., 1990). In a recent report, a heterometallic 3d f cluster containing such a discrete octahedral core of [Gd6(/t3-OH)g] encapsulated by six (CU2) has been prepared (Figure 121) and found to be ferromagnetic (Xiang et al., 2007). [Pg.224]
