External Reflectance Spectroscopy Spectra-Tech

The appearance of reflection spectra depends markedly on the physical form of the sample. For the materials considered here one can group the samples into three classes continuous solids, powders and fibres, and foams. 

Foams generally give good diffuse reflection spectra. However, the surface of foam products is often a continuous skin which may introduce a significant specular component into the spectrum.
