Export Text Files, One Column at a Time

IMPORT AND EXPORT TEXT FILES, ONE COLUMN AT A TIME 

There are several ways to do this. The first method works when you have a single column to transfer. To export from Excel, select the column of cells, choose Copy, open an application that accepts text files, and choose Paste. To get a single column of numbers into Excel, copy the column in another application, in Excel select one cell, and choose Paste.
