On the basis of the observations made above, one can calculate the average values of Arp at various blowing agent concentrations and temperatures for the different chemical structures of FC blowing agent, the results of which are summarized in Table 13.3. Note that the values of a p given in Table 13.3 are independent of shear rate and temperature. 

Mixtures of molten polymer and CO2 have also been used in studies measuring melt viscosities (Elkovitch et al. 1999 Gehardt et al. 1997, 1998 Kwag et al. 1999 Royer et al. 2000, 2001). Needless to say, the solubility of CO2 in a molten polymer
