Expected Performance Evaluator An LP

This section describes the linear program to evaluate the expected profit of a node in the search space. Each node corresponds to a given number of batches for each product route. Since overproduction has as penalty the cost of carrying inventory, it is not always worth working at full capacity. The LP model allows to determine the [Pg.204]

Np r number of batches of product p produced using route r for the node being evaluated [Pg.205]

Xp r product p batch size as a proportion of the maximum batch size (Bf ) [Pg.205]

The linear problem equations can be classified into three groups, namely (i) batch size equations, (ii) demand satisfaction, and (ill) the objective function. [Pg.205]

Equation (8.1) states that the batch size of product p for each route (Xp r) is bounded in the range of 1] which represents the interval where it must fall. [Pg.205]
