Alternately, the purge stream can be sent to a power plant where (at 25% efficiency) electricity is produced, resulting in a loss reduction of 0.25 x 0.946 = 0.2365 MJ/kg. Hybrid options are also possible, where part of the steam is sent to a power plant to generate the electricity necessary to power the cooling of the reactor.
