Ethylenethiuram disulfide

Plants. Extensively metabolized, forming ethylenethiourea, ethylenethiuram monosulfide, ethylenethiuram disulfide, and sulfur as transitory intermediates. Terminal metabolites are natural products, especially those derived from glycine... [Pg.1938]

Ethylenethiuram disulfide (39) is formed by the oxidation of an aqueous solution of nabam (Morehart and Crossan, 1965 Czegledi-Janko and Hollo, 1967 Engst and Schnaak, 1970 Hylin, 1973). [Pg.355]

FIGURE 26.1 Possible degradation pathways of ethylenebis(dithiocarbamates) (EBDs), yielding ethylenethiuram disulfide (ETD), ethylenebisdiisothiocyanato sulfide (EBIS), and ethylenethiourea (ETU). [Pg.579]

However, inconsistencies arose in connection with this stmcture and other workers suggested other stmctures (Pluijgers et al., 1971 Benson et al., 1972). Finally, the stmcture of ethylenethiuram monosulfide has been verified on the basis of spectral data and the fact that with carbon disulfide the compound gives an adduct. This proved to be 5,6-dihydro-3H-imidazo [2,l-c]-l,2,4-dithiazole-3-thion (DIDT, 43) (Vonk, 1975). [Pg.357]
