Methyl 4-ethoxyphenyl

Ethoxyphenyl Methyl Tellurium Diiodide1 A mixture of 1 g (1.98 mmol) of bis[ethoxyphenyl] ditcllurium and 50 g (0.35 mol) of methyl iodide is heated under reflux for 0.5 h. The yellow precipitate of dimethyl 4-ethoxyphenyl telluronium iodide is filtered off. Light petroleum ether is added to the cold filtrate to crystallize the product yield 0.34 g (33%) m.p. 108°. [Pg.540]

Ethoxyphenyl Methyl Tellurium Dichloride3 A two-necked, 250 ml flask is fitted with a dropping funnel and a magnetic stirrer. A solution of 1.06 g (3 mmol) of 4-ethoxyphenyl tellurium trichloride in 75 ml of toluene is placed in the nitrogen-flushed flask. 0.80 g (3 mmol) of tetramethyl lead dissolved in 20 ml of toluene are added dropwise to the stirred solution of the tellurium compound. The mixture is stirred overnight, then filtered, and the solvent distilled from the filtrate. The residue is recrystallized from absolute methanol yield 0.75 g (75%) m.p. 95°. ... [Pg.550]

Perylene Pigments. The perylenes ate a class of red and maroon pigments. In the general formula, Rmay represent a simple alkyl, methyl, or a substituted phenyl, eg, PR 123, R = p-ethoxyphenyl. [Pg.462]

Hoechst 33342 [2 -(4-ethoxyphenyl)-5-(4-methyl-l-piperazinyl)-2,5 -bi-IH-benzimidazole Ho342 I], a bisbenzimidazole dye, binds to adenine/thymine-rich regions in the minor groove of DNA. This dye induces apoptosis and inhibits topo 1 activity in vivo. It has been suggested that the destruction of immunoreactive topo I and topo I-DNA complexes or cleavable complexes results in inhibition of topo I activity, a key step in the Hoechst 33342-induced apoptotic process [40]. [Pg.48]

Coumassie R250 N-[4-[[4-[(4-ethoxyphenyl)amino]phenyl][4-[ethyl[(3-sulphophenyl) methyl] amino]phenyl]methylene] -2,5-cyclohexadien-1 -y lidene] -N-ethyl-3-sulphobenzenemethan-aminium monosodium salt... [Pg.387]

Ethyl, methyl > m-tolyl, phenyl >/>-tolyl, p-ethoxyphenyl, p-methoxy-phenyl, o-tolyl, o-ethoxyphenyl, o-methoxyphenyl > cyclohexyl, mesityl, 1-naphthyl. The reaction is catalyzed by metal salts such as aluminum chloride. [Pg.250]

Ethoxyphenyl)-l-methyl-3-n-propyl-l,6-dihydro-7H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-7-one (10.0 g, 32.1 mmol) was added portionwise to chlorosulfonic acid (20 ml) at 0°C under a nitrogen atmosphere. After being stirred overnight, the reaction solution was cautiously added to ice-water (150... [Pg.3035]
