Estimation of flash points and explosive limits

The best way to determine the flash point is by experiment. If this is not practicable and the literature gives no figures, it can be approximated, provided the boiling point is known, using the method described in the Journal of Chemical Educahon 50 (1973) A 85-9 Journal Fire and Flammability 6 (1977) 38-40 Chem. Eng., December 1983, p. 88.
