Ergotoxine group

The other natural polypeptide alkaloids, e.g., the alkaloids of the ergotoxine group (ergoeristine, ergokryptine, and ergocornine) have a spectrum of activity similar to that of ergotamine but their toxic effects are more pronounced. For this reason they have not attained the clinical importance of ergotamine. [Pg.775]

Separation of ergometrine and the ergotamine and the ergotoxine groups of alkaloids. [Pg.357]

Separation of the dihydroderivatives of the ergotoxine group of alkaloids and ergotamine. For each of the separations mentioned, HPLC has been used. [Pg.357]

The ergotoxine group consists mainly of hydrogenated alkaloids in the preparation Co-Dergorcine (see C04A). [Pg.107]
