Equipment List for Field Work

A great deal of equipment is needed for hydrochemical fieldwork. The details vary according to the specific nature of each expedition, but experience shows that going over an equipment list is always beneficial. The following items of equipment will be required  

Sampling schedule (Chapter 7), maps, and writing material. 

Field measuring equipment for temperature, conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and alkalinity. Specific materials are needed for these instruments for calibration and rinsing. Also carry extra batteries and other parts. 

Sample collection bottles. These have to be prepared carefully so that (1) all the required varieties are included, (2) all bottles are clean (even new ones have to be cleaned), and (3) the bottles are all well packed in boxes—these will be needed for the filled sample bottles. 

Labeling material (labels or inks that have been tested to remain on the relevant bottles).
