Enzymes in structural analysis

No attempt will be made to overstress the merits of enzymic methods in the analysis of polj ccharide structure. Because important lessons may be learned from the unsuccessful, or even careless, use of enzymes, examples of such applications are given. Awareness of the problems and shortcomings associated with the use of enzymes in structural analysis can only be to the advantage of any potential user, and diese have, therefore, been outlined, particularly such aspects as the problems associated with the use of impure or inadequately characterized enzymes.
