Enzyme cofactor binding, implication

A great number of complexes of the flavin cofactors have been studied. The desire to implicate a donor-acceptor interaction in enzyme-cofactor binding is behind most of this work. This also holds true for the complexes of the NAD-type molecules to be considered in the next section. The topic of eo-factor binding has been reviewed in detail by Shifrin and Kaplan .
