Engineering design conflict resolution

At this stage there may be disputes about whether a change is a change for which the client bears responsibility, or an error correction for which the project team bears responsibility, and a dispute resolution procedure may be required. The project engineer s attention is drawn to the strategic precepts outlined in Chapter 7 on how best to handle such situations, the most important of which is to be well-positioned before the conflict arises by meticulous project scope control and the elimination of weasel words in design criteria.
