ILO is the UN body which is responsible for the protection of workers health and safety (see also chapto by Watfa). It works closely with UNEP. Examples of its many publications are Chemical Safely Data Sheets, Codes of Practice, Manuals, and Technical Guides. A key work is the Encyclopedia of Occupational Health and Safety, it contains much information on chemical topics. 

Various year books and guides are issues by organizations and these are very handy reference books. The Encyclopedia of Occupational Health and Safety from the International Labour Office (1) contains a useful summary of the nature, use, and potential health effects of graphite.
