Eluant copper sulfate

To a solution of 1.00 g (6.09 mmol) of 1.1.13a in 50 mL of acetone at room temperature was added 4.37 g (27.43 mmol) of copper sulfate and a few drops of sulfuric acid. After 18 h, ammonia was bubbled through the solution until [Cu(NH3)2]S04 was precipitated. The solution was filtered, evaporated and 1.1.13b was purified by flash chromatography using hexane/ethyl acetate (7 3) as eluant.
