Electrosorption bulk concentration

Sander and Henze [50] have performed ac investigations of the adsorption potential of metal complexes at Hg electrode. Later, Sander etal. [51] have studied electrosorption of chromium - diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) on mercury in 0.1 M acetate buffer at pH 6.2 using a drop-time method. The changes in the interfacial activity of the Cr(III)-DTPA complex with the bulk concentration obeyed the Frumkin adsorption isotherm. [Pg.969]

Spectroscopic evidence obtained recently indicates that the electrosorption of methanol on platinum is probably a very complex process, in which several different partially oxidized species may be formed, in ratios that depend both on the potential and on the bulk concentration of methanol. [Pg.172]

This equation provides the correspondence between adsorption/absorption equilibria in the gas phase and electroadsorption/electroabsorption equilibria in solution [11,77]. The H coverage or bulk concentration at 0 V/RHEl is equal to the coverage or concentration at an H2 pressure of 1 atm. It is noteworthy that Equation 2.20 applies only to electrosorption reactions in equilibrium or at least in quasiequilibrium and is not valid at large overpotentials where coupled HER mechanisms prevail (see Section 2.2.2.2.1). [Pg.119]
