Electron Transfer from TTQ to Copper

For electron transfer from TTQ to copper, the most efficient predicted pathway (i.e. at least an order of magnitude more efficient than alternative pathways) involves a through spaee jump of 2,6 from a hydrogen on the surface-exposed Trp ° indole ring of TTQ to the lone pair orbital of the carbonyl oxygen of Pro 4 of amieyanin (Figure 7). The pathway then follows six covalent bonds via the His eopper ligand to the copper atom. [Pg.130]
