Effect of the Breit Interaction on Energies and Spinors

The Breit interaction becomes important for the calculation of fine structure splittings and for highly charged ions. An example has already been given in this section for magnesium-like ions. For further examples we may refer to the literature (see also the references given in section 8.1).
