The amount of O2 (from chemical analysis) contained in the vacuum residue is important because it influences the point where the carbon conversion reaches 100%. If the vacuum residue contains more oxygen, the required O2/VR ratio will be lower to reach 100% conversion of carbon. [Pg.128]
