Effect of CO2 and Ar on equilibrium equations none

CO2 is usually present in spent acid decomposition and metallurgical furnace offgases. Most of it passes through gas cooling/cleaning/dehydration and into the Fig. 10.1 catalyst bed. It does not take part in catalyst bed oxidation. 

This appendix shows that CO2 has no effect on equilibrium % SO2 oxidized equations, e.g., Eq. (10.12).
