The available literature on the polymerization of isobutylene using the above coinitiators tends to support this conclusion. Thus, the molecular wdghts of polyisobutylenes obtained with alkylaluminum coinitiators in conjunction with t-BuCl initiator at any temperature, follow the order Et2AlCl Me3Al Et3Al (13). No published data are available for the polymerization of isobutylene with Me2AlCl. Results with this Lewis add will be discussed later.
