E Complexes Derived from Acetylenes

TISR yields single CpWCCF C = CCF2 2SR complexes where R = Ph, [Pg.318]

C02Me) yields Initially a W(C0) (dppe)(RC E CH) intermediate which [Pg.318]

Addition tO [CpFe(CO)(L)(n -alkyne)] (L = PPh, P(OPh)2) complexes occurs in a trans-fashion with a variety of nucleophiles (R, CN, SPh ) to give CpFe(CO)(L)(n -alkenyl) complexes which [Pg.318]

Reaction of [(cod)IrCl]2 with PPr / PhC E CPh yields trans-IrCl(PhC e CPh)(PPr2 )2 which on reaction with NaCp gives CpIr(PhC E CPh)(PPr2 ). Protonation with CF COOH yields CpIr[C(Ph) = CHPh](PPr2 )X (X = O2CCF2) which may be converted sequentially into the iodide (X = I) and methyl (X = Me) derivatives. The methyl complex undergoes elimination of CH to regenerate CpIr(PhC e CPh)(PPr )The complex [Pg.318]

Reaction of trans-ReCl(N )(dppe 2 with PhC = CMe yields the n -allene complex ReCl(H,C = C = CHPh)(dppe), via a 1,3-hydrogen migration, and a similar intermediate seems likely in the [Pg.319]
