Dysmigration

The fact that the overpressured regions coincide with the areas where the Are Formation is over-mature simply reflects the deep burial in these regions with associated diagenesis on fault zones. Thus deep burial, not gas generation from Are, sensu-stricto, resulted in dysmigration via a loss of communication and pressure release in the general updip direction eastward. [Pg.351]
