Dynamic puncture behavior cone drop test

11 Dynamic puncture behavior (cone drop test) [Pg.136]

ISO 13433 Geosynthetics Dynamic Perforation Test (Cone Drop Test) [Pg.136]

A steel cone with a mass of 1 kg is dropped from a distance of 50 cm onto the center of a GTX specimen fixed in a 150-mm-diameter clamping ring. The degree of penetration is measured by the diameter of the hole using a measuring cone. [Pg.136]

The size of the hole gives an indication of the behavior of a GTX when sharp edge stone drops onto a GTX. The test is used mainly in Europe (Table 7.10 and Fig. 7.17). [Pg.138]
