Drugs first-pass effect

There is no significant first-pa.ss effect with melplubii but the drug is gradually inactivated by nonen/ymatic hy drolysis to monoliydroxy and dihydroxy derivative.v Elimination is hiphasic. with half-lives of 6 to 8 minutes ami 40 to 60 minutes. Most of the drug is cleared by nontnul mechanisms. [Pg.400]
