Drude, Paul Karl Ludwig

Drude, Paul Karl Ludwig (1863-1906) was a German physicist who developed a theory for electron conduction. Drude s theory provided an atomistic basis for understanding electron motion in metals and ceramics. In its original version it contained several inaccuracies, which were corrected by the application of quantum mechanics. [Pg.553]
