Double stretched filaments

The heat-set fibers were further oriented by stretching them 20% at 170°C and annealing for 1 hour at 17 0°C. Tensile properties of these double-stretched filaments are given in Table 8.38. Additional orientation improved the tenacity of the fibers and reduced their break elongation. [Pg.237]
