Double measurements

If possible, two-way ANOVA should be applied doing repetitions at each level. In case of double measurements the 2ab model represented in Tables 5.5 and 5.6 is taken as the basis of evaluation and variance decomposition. [Pg.130]

PT samples normally should be analysed with the same effort as routine samples. But in reality this very rarely is the case. An example is shown in this slide, where a double measurement was requested in the proficiency test. During an accreditation assessment it was found that the laboratory executed 40 measurements to be sure of the value. Where possible, limiting the sample amount to that necessary for duplicate measurements can help prevent this. [Pg.323]

The princess swept forward, enfolding Aphrodite in her arms like a long lost daughter. Aphrodite returned her embrace, double measures for each measure, and the princess kissed her energetically, again and again. The tension melted out of Aphrodite and streamed down her cheeks to be tenderly swabbed away by the caress of the woman s lips. [Pg.89]

DEMENSUM DUPLICATUM — is Double Measure. Might be also a Two-edged Tool. DEMETIRI — To Measure out. [Pg.110]

Fig. 27. Construction of a double measuring cell. For the determination of the apparent enzyme activity at the GOD electrode the rate of hydrogen peroxide accumulation in the measuring cell, U2, is indicated by using an enzyme-free electrode polarized to +600 mV. By contrast, when glucose is measured, the H2O2 diffusing to the enzyme sensor is indicated, and during the short time period of the measurement only a negligible amount of H2O2 diffuses into the measuring cell. Fig. 28. Dependence of the hydrogen peroxide accumulation rate, i>2, on substrate concentration as measured in the double measuring cell depicted in Fig. 27. V2 is a measure of the apparent activity of G OD entrapped in a gelatin membrane. A membrane area of 0.13 mm2 was exposed to the measuring solution. The enzyme layer was sandwiched between two dialysis membranes. Solution 66 mmol/1 phosphate buffer, pH 7.0 25°C GOD loading 1-46 U/cm2, i.e., 6 U per electrode 2-46 mU/cm2, i.e. 6 mU per electrode. For the construction of the ring tunnel and for the installation of the machines a geodetic network on the surface of the earth was installed (Fig. 2). It is based on the network of the accelerator PETRA and has been extended by three pillars (L6ffler,F. 1988). The greatest distance is about 2 km. The distances of the network were measured with the Mekometer ME 3000 ajid since 1986 with the ME 5000 in several epochs each time forwards and backwards. With the double measurements one can calculate the standard deviation for a single measurement with the ME 5000. For all epochs the standard deviations are better than 0.4 mm, also the differences between the calculated coordinates of each epoch were smaller than 3 mm. The accuracy of the meeisurements will be determined by the insufficiency of the registration of the meteorology. [Pg.216]
