Summary In this paper, the synthesis of silica-based nano- and microsized tubular structures is described. The nanotubes were obtained by a sol-gel process and investigated by Si MAS NMR spectroscopy and electron microscopy. These tubular stmctures can be doped with several metals by adding metal ion solutions at the sol-gel synthesis. [Pg.937]
