Domino Reactions Terminated by Oxidation or Reduction Reaction 

The first oxidative palladium-catalyzed cyclization of 1,6-enyne was reported in 2007 by Tse et al. [78]. In this domino process, cyclization of 1,6-enynes 133a-f was followed by oxidation using (bisacetoxyiodo) benzene (BAIB) to provide analogs of bicyclo[3.1.0]hexane 134a-f derivatives as the final products in good yields. The reaction does not proceed without the presence of BAIB in the reaction mixture (Table 9.3). 

For the synthesis of quinazoHnones 147, a domino UUmann-type cou-pling/aerobic oxidative C-H amidation/oxidation process was successfully utilized by Fu et ol. [79].
