In the 1990s, most investigations were devoted to passive DeNO, i.e. NO reduction by the HC present in the exhaust gas. Even in lean conditions, there remains Ce3+ cations and oxygen vacancies, which may participate in NO or HC activation. In 2000, Djega-Mariadassou [77] proposed the following model for NO adsorption in Rh/Ce02 where Rh is partially oxidized while there remain reduced sites of ceria on the support (Figure 8.10)... [Pg.254]

This reaction mechanism was suggested by Djega-Mariadassou et al. and several works have been already developed leading to similar results [18,19,20], The maximum of NOx conversion is 50% at 450 °C. [Pg.282]

In case of the asymmetric hydrogenation with Rh complexes this disturbance in the equilibrium establishment is shown in pressure-dependent e.e. values (see [21 b]). Djega-Mariadassou and Boudart [3] describe this phenomenon as kinetic coupling see also G. Djega-Mariadassou, Catal. Lett. 1994, 7. In this context, we point out that under kinetic coupling conditions it is principally not possible experimentally to determine a partial order of 1 with respect to hydrogen. [Pg.292]
