Dissociation of macrocyclic complexes

The reaction of A involves an hydrolytic path as well as one which is first-order dependent on [H + ], Reactions of B and C involve only two or three protons in the respective activated complexes. Proton-assisted dissociation of macrocycle complexes are discussed in Sec. 4.5.1(a). Preequilibria involving H+ are favored.
