Diphosphines diphosphine monosulfide

A solii. of equimolar amounts of diphenylphosphine and dimethylvinylphosphine sulfide in tetrahydrofuran treated with a catalytic amount of K- rFbutoxide, and refluxed 26 hrs. after the exothermic reaction has subsided -> intermediate diphosphine monosulfide (Y 91%) allowed to react with excess LiAlH4 in refluxing dioxane product (Y 80%).
