A mixture of 3,4-diphenyl-l,2,5-oxadiazole 2-oxide and triphenyl phosphite added to triphenyl phosphite preheated to 270, and refluxed 15 min. by external heating after the exothermic reaction has subsided benzonitrile. Y 87.4%. F. e. s. S. M. Katzman and J. Moffat, J. Org. Chem. 37, 1842 (1972).
