Diorganogermanium Diamides

Dlorganogermanes containing germanium linked to two nitrogen atoms exist as monomers, cyclic small ring derivatives and polymers. The compounds listed in Table 66 on page 216 prepared by the following methods. 

Synth By rxn. of Me2GeCl2 with Et2NLi in Et20-CeHx4 r.t. in N atm., in 70% yield (2162). 

By rxn. of Me2Ge(0Ph 2 with Et2NLi in petr. ether under reflux (277)  

By rxn. of Me2Ge(NEt2)2 with (MeNHCH2)2 150° with cat. (NH4)2S04 or at 100 without catalyst, in 58% yield (2162).
