Dimethylaminoazirines with Cyclic Amides

5-Dimethylamino-4//-iraidazoles are common products from reactions of 3-dimethylaminoazirines with cyclic amides, although the mechanism depends heavily on the structure of the cyclic amide and on the conditions.
