Dilithium octaphenyltetraphosphafulvalene

Dilithium octaphenyltetraphosphafulvalene with [(i -Cp)Fe(i -],4-Me2C6H4](PFg) gives the 17 -coordinated species 203, which is unstable with respect to oxidants but can be stabilized by reacting with [ rf-nbd)Cr(CO)4] (92AGE1031). The latter affords the chelate complex 204.
