Dihydrogen and Related Complexes

The reaction of palladium atoms with H2 in excess argon produced Pd(p -H2), with characteristic IR bands in a low-temperature matrix at 2971 cm (vHH), 1507 cm and 950 cmThere was also evidence for a Pd-Pd(H2) species. A separate report indicated that a vH-H band was seen at 3038 cm for Pd(H2)2 -produced by a similar reaction.  

The IR spectrum of tran5-Pt(PCy3)2H(FHF) included bands due to the coordinated bifluoride ligand at 2604 and 1832 cm
