Dielectric columnar phases

The dielectric and elastic properties of the nematic columnar (Ncoi) phase of charge-transfer mixtures of pentayne ether (4) ( = 13) with TNF have been studied and compared with those of the Np type of mesophase [60]. The elastic constants and are both one order of magnitude higher in the Ncoi phase this dependence on the acceptor concentration indicates that the interaction is strongest for the equimolar composition. [Pg.1972]
