Dibismuth tetraphenyls

Metal-metal bond strengths decrease down Group VB, so Sb— Sb bonds are weak and Bi—Bi bonds even weaker. The known distibine derivatives R2Sb SbR2 have as bismuth analogues only the very unstable tetramethyl-dibismuth and possibly a tetraphenyl derivative.
