Diamond knurl

Durant et al. [77] summarized an extensive investigation of heat transfer in annuli with the inner heated tube roughened by means of diamond knurls. At equal pumping power, it was found that heat transfer coefficients for the knurled annuli were up to 75 percent higher than those for the smooth annuli. [Pg.799]

Figure 18.7(a) shows a location pin anchored by means of a diamond knurl on the outside diameter. [Pg.308]
