Diamagnetic susceptibilities, measurements theories

An understanding of the limitations of the Kirkwood-Vinti approximation should therefore lead to considerable advances in the theory of bonding. In its absence, we shall here use diamagnetic susceptibility as the principal method of measuring yms and use refractive index only as a secondary method. 

Significant relationships between aromaticity measured by diamagnetic susceptibility exaltation and derivatives of the total molecular valence for molecule and HOMO orbital, calculated ab initio in the framework the Density Function Theory, were also found [Balawender, Komorowski et al., 1998]. 

Motional magnetism, caused by rotation, vibration or translation of charged particles will be ignored. Thus all diamagnetism aspects will enter only implicitly. Thus we will not focus on static magnetic susceptibility theory (e.g. magnetizability) or measurements.
