Di-isobutyl phthalate DiBP Mono-isobutyl phthalate MiBP... [Pg.258]

Common Name Di-isobutyl phthalate Synonym DIBP... [Pg.852]

In spite of their high volatility and water extractability, dibutyl phthalate and di-isobutyl phthalate continue to be used in PVC. They are efficient plasticisers and their limitations are of greatest significance in thin sheet. [Pg.331]

TiC14, the active component of a Ziegler-Natta PP catalyst system, has to be coordinated on the MgC12 carrier material together with an internal electron donor like di-isobutyl phthalate (DIBP). The close presence of TiC14 and DIBP might also result, however, in the formation of a TiC14.DIBP complex, which would influence directly the catalyst activity. [Pg.69]

Dibutyl phthalate Di-isobutyl phthalate Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate Di-n-octyl phthalate Py-GC [30,31]... [Pg.81]

Dibutyl, di-isobutyl phthalates Di-n-heptyl phthalate Di-iso nonyl/, di-iso decyl phthalates Di-n-octyl phthalate... [Pg.427]

The full scan detection of three selected PAE components dimethyl-phthalate, di-isobutyl-phthalate and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate are shown as examples in Figures 4.70-4.72. The mass spectra are taken for comparison with the NIST library to confirm the compound identity. [Pg.605]

Important objectives of the later prodnction methods were to control the size and shape of the catalyst particles during precipitation of the magnesium chloride and to improve stabihty. Catalysts with better-controlled size and shape were based on the reaction of a precipitated magnesium chloride with titanium tetrachloride in a high-boiling-point hydrocarbon diluent at 80°C, with di-isobutyl phthalate added as an internal electron donor. " After separation, the sohd formed was reacted with more titaninm tetrachloride at 120°C, before being washed and dried. The catalyst contained between 2-3% titanium and the phthalates used were hmited to C4-C8 esters to avoid potential problems with colloid formation. The catalysts prodnced with phthalates as the internal donor had mnch higher snrface area and pore volume than when ethyl berrzoate was nsed. This method provided more active arrd stereospecifrc catalysts when used with the same triethyl aluminum co-calalyst and an external electron donor such as phenyl triethoxy silane. [Pg.321]

TiCl4/MgCl2/DIB/AlEt3/PhSi(OEt)3 Initially based on magnesium ethoxide, with di-isobutyl phthalate (DIB) and PhSi(OEt)3. Better, more stable spherical catalysts obtained with magnesium alco-holate. Polymer particles (1500 iuii diameter) replicate expanding catalyst particles (100 (om diameter). 600 98... [Pg.322]
