Dewar vessel liquid-shielded

Although only nitrogen was used as a jacket liquid to obtain the data presented below% the thermal shielding was designed to allow determinations to be made at temperatures as low as 14°K, using liquid hydrogen. For these low temperatures, the internal jacket is shielded by a strip-silvered vacuum vessel and the whole apparatus immersed in a dewar filled with a second cryogen.
