Dendrobium anosmum

The alkaloid anosmine (128) was isolated from the orchids Dendrobium anosmum and Dedrobium parishii <68XL905). The suggested molecular structure was confirmed by x-ray crystallographic studies <70ACS397). The imidazolium cation and the adjacent atoms C-1, C-4, C-6, and C-9 are all close to a plane. The two six-membered rings of (128) are in a twisted-chair conformation. [Pg.1072]

The alkaloid anosmine (l,2,3,4,6,7,8,9-octahydrodipyrido[l,2-a l, 2 -c]imidazol-10-ium bromide) was isolated from Dendrobium anosmum Lindl. and from Dendrobium parishii Rchb. f. (Orchidaceae) [331]. Its structure was confirmed by synthesis and by X-ray crystallography [332]. [Pg.496]
