A pale yellow oil of low viscosity. In solution or upon storage, demeton-S-methyl is oxidised to the sulphoxide and the sulphone. Refractive index 1.5065. [Pg.512]

Disposition in the Body. Demeton-S and demeton-S-methyl are very readily absorbed by all routes and have a particularly high toxicity following percutaneous absorption. They are rapidly hydrolysed in the tissues to the corresponding sulphoxide and sulphone. [Pg.512]
