Decap time

Inks with attractive performance characteristics, such as short dry times, long decap times and good adhesion when using a thermal inkjet system, have been developed (25). [Pg.5]

A thermal inlqet ink composition has one or more attractive features, such as short unassisted dry times of printed alphanumeric or graphic images, long decap times, good adhesion to semiporous and nonporous substrates, and safety or material compatibility with one or more components of a thermal inkjet printer (25). The decap time is the time that printer nozzles can be imcovered and idle before they will become ineffective and need to be cleaned. [Pg.5]

To increase the detection power and the discrimination of high masses, it is possible to use other rare gases. However, it is not uncommon to come up against limitations in terms of analysis time and sensitivity because of the appearance of an effect which is parasitic (for LEISS) erosion of the sample surface by ionic decapping. The latter becomes more efficient as the mass of the incident ion increases. [Pg.117]

Prior to probe labeling, purify the crude oligonucleotide by applying it, in a total volume of 100 pL, to the top of a prespun and packed 1-mL Sephadex G25 column that has been washed several times with stenle TEN buffer. Hold the spun column in a small Falcon tube containing a decapped Eppendorf tube at the bottom and centrifuge at 1600g for 3 min (see Note 5). [Pg.162]

To prepare TFAA derivatives, 100 pL of TFAA should be added to the dried sample in a 2-mL vial. The vial should be immediately capped, vortexed for 2 min, and heated for 20 min in a heating block at bO C. After that time, the vial should be removed from the heating block and cooled, then decapped, and TFAA should be removed very carefully (to avoid the derivatized toxins losses) under a delicate stream of nitrogen. When evaporated, 1 mL of isooctane should be added, vortexed, and analyzed by GC/MS. [Pg.541]
